The New York Physical Therapy Association (NYPTA) is seeking an enthusiastic, mission-driven and experienced Membership Coordinator. The successful candidate will play a key role in building and conveying the value of membership in the NYPTA, maintaining membership records as well as identifying and cultivating new members.
The NYPTA is a dynamic not-for-profit professional organization located in Latham, New York. The successful candidate will become a critical member of the organizational team and assist in its mission to empower and support NYPTA's 6,800 members. The Membership Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director.
In collaboration with the Executive Director, responsible for planning, overseeing, implementing and coordinating the membership program for the NYPTA.
Coordinate and oversee membership activities.
Assist in the implementation of action plans for membership development, retention and increasing overall membership.
In conjunction with the Communications Manager, create membership recruitment materials, brochures, etc.
Initiate internal communications including development membership related newsletter content, email blasts, event announcements, awareness of member benefits, etc.
Create, update and distribute information to current members as well as prospective members.
Provide input for annual association budgeting for the membership programs.
Responsible for oversight and updating of the membership database.
Collaborate with the Membership Committee on membership recruitment and retention initiatives.
Compile membership charts for Chapter and Districts.
Develop surveys as needed to gauge member involvement/engagement.
Act as staff liaison to the Membership Committee
A Bachelor's Degree is desired but will consider candidates with at least three years of experience in an association membership coordinator position.
