The New York Association for Pupil Transportation (NYAPT) seeks to fill the position of EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR. NYAPT seeks an ambitious and energetic association person to serve as the chief executive officer and lead the association and members into the next phases of growth and development.
Experience and knowledge in pupil transportation is desirable. Our organization expects to continue to strengthen and grow in terms of member services, educational programs and public policy formation and influence.
It is the intent of our Board of Directors, in concert with our non-profit educational partner, the Cyr Foundation, to seek and retain the services of a professional who will sustain that growth and move NYAPT forward in accordance with our emerging needs as an association of school transportation and safety professionals.
LOCATION: Office based in Albany
STARTING DATE: October 1, 2018
BASE SALARY: Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include vacation, sick leave, health coverage Anticipated contract to be negotiated.
JOB DUTIES: The Executive Director is the chief administrator in the organization with overall responsibilities for planning, administration and management of all programs and internal systems. The Executive Director is responsible to the Board of Directors for all areas of agency operation and policy implementation.
